Another AI Doom Post? Shut up and Read This. You’ll Feel Better.
Hi friends,
Here’s a short rant about AI.
I know you rolled your eyes just now.
Who the hell wants to read another one of these doom and gloom posts, especially from a dummy who talks about eradicating laziness and writing?
Just do me a favor: stop being a child, read this one for a bit, feel better about the future and go on about your day.
Thank you.

Should we be afraid of what 2025's technological progress has in store for us? People are utterly terrified or ignorant to AI's capabilities.**
We didn't have these fears back in 2022 when ChatGPT opened up its Playground, or if we did, they were on the back burner.
I know many of us have seen AI's inaccuracies and terrible image generation (at least in the early stages, though Meta is still making creepy profile pictures). Many of us have even used this technology to make brainstorming or editing easier. We weren't worried about its capabilities to end our lives then. We were just worried about having scripts for our videos, ideas for our next post, making sure our essays were decent, and recipes for dinner.
Now the possibility of AI taking over our livelihood is looking real. Pretty soon, the workforce is going to be encased in metal and no longer sleep deprived. It's not going to come into work hungover or pissed off. In fact, it won't leave the damn office.
What company would want to pay a hungover, emotional person who needs sleep to function at their post?
Okay, that thought is scary.
I think this fear of AI is justified, but we ought to take a deep breath. I'd say it's easier to be excited about its future and potential. I'd say now is the best time to play with various models. Now is the best time to watch AI iterate itself into whatever we want.
We can make AI work harder for us. We can use it to make us better at everything. So while we get drunk or get the best sleep possible, AI is working hard to make us badasses. Let us enjoy our Old Fashioned or beauty sleep without worrying.

I'd suggest you still pursue your degrees and creativity, even if you fear AI's ability to do what you're passionate about better. Make AI your bitch by having it turn you into the best candidate in your field or a creative weirdo.
Until the singularity becomes a powerful reality that you and I will have no choice but to pray to, the model still needs effective human input. Yes, we fleshy, emotionally flawed, and sometimes slow animals are needed to keep AI alive and well.
Friends, get excited. Don't be afraid.
I say this as someone who's afraid of being an adult and who barely knows how to ask Python to say "hello world".
Learn what you can about AI and make life easier for yourself, not harder or terrifying.
