Daring to Disagree: A Candid Call for the Quiet to Embrace Authentic Expression
Stupid takes can be refreshing or encouraging to the shy masses.
Finding the courage to speak your mind is hard. Sometimes, you (like me) need the idiots to speak up first.
If you’re worried about what others think about your opinions, let the following controversial/slightly stupid ideas give you the strength to speak your mind (intelligently). Be better than me.
If these ideas are offensive, know that a dumbass wrote them.
Your purpose will most likely not be grand. At best, you’ll help teach children valuable lessons as a local schoolteacher, fix people’s issues as a psychologist, be as useless as an influencer, or work with your hands in a blue-collar gig. Our time for greatness flew past us when we were wandering through our college years, drinking terrible beer and doing everything we could to pass that bullshit class for our bachelor’s in liberal arts.
You’re no one to judge others. You have skeletons too big to fit in a closet. You’re probably a bit histrionic or psychopathic yourself. You’re not smarter than most of us because you speak your mind. You’re an asshole.
The pretty vacation pictures or the occasional foreign car flex hide the sadness in people’s eyes. The attention economy has sucked the purpose and will out of people’s souls. All the chasing in the world will never fill that void, yearning for connection and love. Trust me, I want to be riding in a Lambo too, but not if I’m emotionally fucked.
Quantity will not beat quality in the long run. No matter how many art pieces you draw, posts you write, or songs you record, they must get better with time. If my dumbass keeps writing like this for a few more years, then I would have learned nothing.
No one should be lazy in this modern world. I no longer have sympathy for my shortcomings as a writer and a man because I choose to fuck around and not get serious about what I want. You must severely judge yourself to get to where you want to go.
Stupid people are making stupid amounts of money because they aren’t afraid of a little challenge or obstacle. They always worked harder than you have. You must learn from the dummies.
Twitter isn’t that bad. Does Elon say/do some crazy shit? Sure. Is there a lot more fringe crap popping on everyone’s feed? Depends. While many users have fled X (this is such a dumb name), was it any better before he took over? No. I still find memes and hilariously bad/ insightful takes on the site, something that the other social media giants fail to produce.
While it’s true that an AR-15’s 5.56 NATO round is tiny compared to a fighter jet’s armament, that doesn’t mean the U.S. government’s going to have an easy time dealing with those country boys who love their “black and scary” guns. Gun control pundits don’t care to understand that confiscation tends to lead to radical changes. Changes equal massive amounts of death and the shifting of power. What peace-loving freaks don’t get is that violence will never stop until all creatures stop craving power, respect, and survival, which will only happen once every living creature adopts a photosynthetic process.
I hope these dumb ass points inspired you to speak up.
