Rock bottom is hell.
Rock bottom will bend you like a mother fucker.
It’s worse than any high school relationship ending. It’s worse than walking over a bed of spilled Legos.
Rock bottom has claimed many people. Some of those poor bastards never got out and gave up. They never took the time to look up and see there’s a light.
It’s okay to dread rock bottom but is it truly the end? No.
You can choose to believe that this is the beginning of something wonderful. You can choose to escape Hell with a smile on your face while you hold tears back.
While in rock bottom, you will have a chance to control my reactions. A chance to find love for the small and big things in life. A chance to tell the Übermensch to come out and play for a bit. A chance to acknowledge the Shadow. A chance to be “condemned to be free”, as Sartre said.
Rock bottom is hell, but it is also a chance to prove what one’s made of. If you’re in Hell, it’s best to figure out how to get out than to wonder how you got there. You’ll embrace a growth mindset and become resourceful.
It is a chance to choose how you want to exist. You get to choose to get tattooed sleeves, a motorcycle, a chance to forgive your loved ones, and dance like a fool without fear.
Rock bottom is hell, but never the end.
If you’re in rock bottom, then you have the chance to be the best version of yourself.
You got this.
